What it is
Display currency is a preference for how monetary amounts appear in notifications and emails - for example showing `$1,250` vs `€1,250` formatting. It does not change how trades are stored or how statistics are calculated.
What you can do
- Choose a display currency from Tessera’s supported list (USD, EUR, GBP, and others)
- See amounts in emails and in-app notifications formatted in that currency style
How it works
Trades and PnL in Tessera remain in your account currency (whatever your broker account uses). Tessera does not apply live exchange rates to recalculate your performance history when you change display currency.
The setting lives under notification preferences alongside channel toggles (in-app, email).
Supported currencies include major fiat codes such as USD, EUR, GBP, CHF, AUD, CAD, JPY, and others - the app shows the full list when you edit preferences.
Limitations
- Display only - Trade Log, Statistics, reports, and dashboard figures stay in account currency.
- No FX conversion layer for historical PnL.
- If your account trades in USD and you pick EUR display, formatting may still reflect USD numeric values unless a future product layer converts for display - today the primary effect is notification/email presentation.
