What it is

Tessera maintains a registry of 1,600+ instruments across major asset classes so your trades, charts, and reports resolve to a single canonical symbol for analytics and market data.

What you can do

  • Trade and import many crypto, equity, FX, index, metal, commodity, energy, and futures symbols
  • Have Tessera match broker symbols to the registry automatically in most cases
  • Request support if your symbol cannot be matched

Symbol resolution

When you import or sync trades, broker symbols (e.g. `EURUSD`, `BTCUSDT`, `ES`) are mapped to a Tessera instrument. That drives:

  • Market data routing for charts and reports
  • Consistent grouping in Statistics
  • Trade Review and report symbol pickers

If your instrument is not listed

Tessera will attempt to locate and match symbols that are not yet in the registry. If automatic matching fails:

  • Check spelling and broker-specific suffixes in your import file
  • For Custom CSV, use symbol mapping or specify an import instrument - see Custom CSV import
  • Contact support to request adding an instrument - we review requests for registry updates

Limitations

  • Not every broker symbol worldwide is pre-registered on day one.
  • Some niche or renamed contracts may need manual mapping or a support request.
