Brokers overview
Tessera connects to brokers in two ways: live sync (API pulls trades and sometimes account data) and CSV / file import (you upload statement files). Some brokers support both; others are import-only.

Custom CSV import
Custom CSV import is for bringing trade history into Tessera from a broker that does not have a dedicated Tessera integration. You upload a CSV file, map its columns to Tessera’s fields, and your trades appear in the Trade Log like any other account.
Instruments
Tessera maintains a registry of 1,600+ instruments across major asset classes so your trades, charts, and reports resolve to a single canonical symbol for analytics and market data.
Market data
Market data in Tessera means historical price candles (open, high, low, close over time) used to power reports, the simulator, and Trade Review charts. It is separate from the prices your broker showe
